Avocado: The Way to a Healthier Living

1:16:00 PM

One way to a healthier life is eating avocado, one of the world's healthiest fruit. The avocado is colloquially known as the Alligator Pear, reflecting its shape and the leather-like appearance of its skin. Avocado is derived from the Aztec word "ahuacatl". Avocados are the fruit from Persea americana, a tall evergreen tree that can grow up to 65 feet in height. Avocados vary in weight from 8 ounces to 3 pounds depending upon the variety. It is a seasonal fruit and it has a unique health benefits.

According to Hass Avocado Board (HAB) – a program in the United States of America promoting the essential benefits of the Avocado fruit, HAB conducted a research about Avocado and they found out that it is rich in many vitamins and all other benefits.

“The researchers observed a significant peak (approximately a 70 percent increase), of IL-6 four hours after the plain burger was eaten, but less effect on IL-6 (approximately a 40 percent increase) over the same time period when fresh avocado was eaten with the burger.
Additionally, the study found that when fresh Hass avocado was eaten with the burger it did not increase triglyceride levels beyond what was observed after eating the burger alone, despite the extra calories and fat from the fresh avocado...
The pilot study also reported that the difference in peripheral arterial blood flow (the movement of blood to different parts of the body, as measured by PAT), a predictor of vascular health, after eating the hamburger meal compared to the hamburger-fresh avocado meal was approaching statistical significance...
PAT scores significantly decreased (signifying reduced blood flow) only after the plain burger was eaten (approximately a 27 percent drop, on average) compared to a burger with fresh avocado (approximately a 4 percent drop, on average, signifying less reduction in blood flow).”

Weekend Movie Marathon

2:28:00 PM

During weekends, most of my time is for music rehearsals and some for recreational matters. There was a time I was left alone at home, and I was thinking of something not too hard and physical, something like procrastination over food. I’m not in the mood for reading nor writing. Since I bought CD movies years ago, I just decided to watch movie over Mr. Chips Junk food with lots of Mayonnaise on it. I selected “Sex and the City 1 & 2” for the reason that I want fashion and label. It was a dramatic, funny and sexy movie ever, watching Sarah Jessica Parker with her three girl friends wearing their fashionable statements and style. I sought that girls are girls; I mean in the way of fashion and taste to luxurious things. Well the movie tells me to Love Love Love Love and LOVE!

My 20th Birthday

1:45:00 PM

Hey, another mile stone again in my life as I get older. One of my most awaited and annual special day in my life is my birthday. I am so happy to celebrate my birthday today. I sought that as you get older, you’ll have less expectations and wants, as far as I recall when I was a kid, I use to cry if my mum will not prepare foods, parties and all other birthday stuff’s. Now, as I celebrate my birthday with just a simple treat and greetings, I AM HAPPY AND CONTENTED.

Well, life goes on. I am so thankful especially to the Lord, for giving me another year to explore the world and to continue what I have started in life. To my dear parents, sisters and family, who love me for what I am, who understands me in times of trouble, thank you so much for being there for me. I love you Ma and Pa! And to my dear friends, who are there to kick and push me to aim high, who loves me so much and who journeyed with me in my musical career, thank you so much! That’s what really friends are for.

A Sneak Peak in Seda Centrio #CDO

1:45:00 PM

One of the hotels that I really want to visit is the Ayala Hotels in the Philppines. “Seda” is the name. Finally, I’ve found one. One of the accessible Seda here in Mindanao is located in Cagayan De Oro City and in the Davao City. In Cagayan De Oro City, 2 hours far away from Bukidnon, erected the famous fa├žade of Seda Hotel.

I got the chance to take few pictures because I was invited by my PR friend/Strategist/Writer who happens to be a Mindanaoan to go with her to have chitchat with the executives. While having their forum, I was also doing my own business, and that business is to take photo from their fabulous hotel. Take a look!

The photos above are only a sneak peek. I wasn’t able to take photos of their rooms. It’s your chance to look and see what it is. I’m inviting you to visit and stay in Seda Hotels, for they offer the best of the best and a complete experience while staying there.

The Joanna Sario of Bukidnon

10:18:00 PM

Bukidnon folks, may I introduce to you a dear friend of mine who sings with a voice of an angel cascading up and down the scales like a roller coaster. Her promising talent as a soprano would influence young people and develop their talent.

Artist Should Be Paid Also

1:36:00 PM

I have a friend in Facebook and he is a classical singer in the Philippines. He finished his musical studies at the conservatory of University of Santo Tomas, Manila. I've read one his status and couldn't do anything but to agree. YES! I will show you his status from his FB account telling about poignant experiences about the life as an artist.

Zip De Guzman's status from his Facebook account.

Now, if you are an artist, would you be pleased working with NO PAY? That's really unfair! We should remember that we are all equal in this world. We do our job on time and give our all, but that doesn't mean if you are an artist and your service is just for free! :(
