To all Opera and theater advocates, here's something you wanted to watch. The Philippine's most celebrated heroism novel by Dr. Jose P. Rizal will be stage in the country. Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not) will again astound our Filipino audience this coming September 2014 at Newport Performing Arts Center, Resorts World Manila.
Noli Mi Tangere follows the story of Juan Crisostomo Ibara, who went back to the Philippines after studying in Europe. Crisostomo, the lover of Maria Clara wanted to marry her but objections emanated regarding his plans and his whole total being. The opera depicts the poignant story of the native indios under the hands of the Spanish dictators. It was also blatant that time the status issues and the human rights.
