Colds On A Christmas Season

1:52:00 PM

Christmas is the time when everyone is rejoicing and gleeful. But for those who are sick, Christmas is like bloody hell. I felt bad on christmas day, it’s because I got a virus and it took my happiness away.

La Divina... Maria Callas

12:01:00 AM

Ever since the opera world began, music is always associated with voice. A musical piece wouldn’t be effective if not with the presence of the human voice and its interpretation. Therefore the human voice is the most special instrument in the world of opera and in music. Opera is an unforgiving world, because it demands the human voice to sound divine.

Review: The Roadhouse Café

1:48:00 PM

If you are looking for one of the best epicures in Bukidnon, there’s nothing more you want but the Roadhouse Café. The accessible café located along the highway of Barangay Bagoon-taas, Valencia City would probably your destination for the best of the best foods and ambiance. My dear friends Igoy, Jacquee, Irene and I went to Valencia City for some errands and decided to have our lunch at the Roadhouse – So happy to be back there at last! It isn't just your typical café like tables and chairs around. It was more beautified from their interior designs to their well-trained cooks, waiters and waitresses with hospitality and good manners. Roadhouse Café was known for their famous and in demand specialties like “Roast Beef” and “Salads”, and the great reception for weddings, parties, birthdays and all other events for affordable price. I bet you will not regret if you’ll choose Roadhouse Café, the best answer to your food cravings and experience.

As of now, Roadhouse Café has 2 branches. One is in Cagayan De Oro City, particularly in SM CDO and the other one is in Davao, located at SM Davao Ecoland, in front of National Bookstore.

Seafood In A Basket

This menu is full of seafood blast including the soup. It was cooked perfectly, not overcooked and not too mashy. You will taste the entire seafood ingredients as well as the perfect mixture.

Crispy Pata

My entire favourite of all the menus, it’s because it’s pork. And YES, I don’t have any whatsoever comment but PERFECT and VERY GOOD! From the way it was cooked, it was clearly a good type of pork. Soft and very crispy that will make you finish it including the bones. If you’ll order this Crispy Pata, am sure you will be the luckiest costumer to taste it.

       Crispy Dilis and Mango Ensalda
When I first saw this menu, I appreciated the plating and the way it was arranged. Especially seeing the mango on top, Yummmmm!!! When I tasted it with Dilis together with the chopped tomatoes, onions, letuce and cabbages  I was kind of searching the taste, the taste was a mixture of salty and sourly ingredients. Go find your taste! It really tastes good.

Crispy Kangkong
I'm not totally a vegetarian. But when I tasted this Crispy Kangkong dipped in a Mayonnaise, it made me repeat it on and on and I was like eating a crispy lumpia. I like the way it was fried, not too oily and salty. I was so brave to have eaten it all.

My On-Air Interview

9:14:00 PM

I got the chance of being invited to an on air interview by our school’s radio station called DXBU 104.5, in line with their upcoming station anniversary this October. A series of interview with the city’s well-known personalities as well as from inside the campus of Bukidnon State University. Honestly speaking, I am so honored to be chosen as one. I did not expect that the DXBU station would love to have me as their guest, as it is a form of flattery to me. I mean I can’t compete and set up my standards to those prominent guests that they invited over. Oh God! But it was my decision to accept it as my advantage and also the channel to brand myself in our school.

I took the on air interview for various reasons. First, to gain more exposure by introducing myself. Second, to promote my one and only blog BukidnonVoice, the blog which I am using as a tool for emancipating my advocacy and my love for performing arts, which followed by branding myself as a Blogger in our department. Third, to share my triumphs as a BA – English Language student, from the battles that I’ve been through in language and in literary. And lastly, to inspire young people to share and use their God-given talent for good.

The interview ended by a song performance from the Broadway “Wicked” entitled For Good. I was kind of having second thoughts, because if there are listeners who are fan of Wicked, am sure they would love to hear the famous song from the musical which is Defying Gravity. But I chose to sing For Good because I love the content and the thought of the song. It inspires me more to write and to promote Bukidnon talents.

"The Pechay Girls"

I met these two girls selling out vegetables in a waiting shed near our house. I asked one of them if where did they came from, both of them ignored my question. :( So I just took a photo of them and finally, one of them said "Imu man mi gi kodakan, paliti mi ug Pitsay bi", I was so shocked! So I bought 2 Petchay for only 10 pesos. They gave me a discount. LOL :D

She's Mariel, a 5 year-old girl who lives in San Jose, Malaybalay City. I like her because of being energetic and confident. In the photo, I met her at the coffee room of the Monastery of Transfiguration. She was very charming, she was eating a slice of watermelon. What makes me admire her, her simple magic word saying "Thank you" after I took a photo of her. So sweet! :)

"The innocent kid vendor"

I met this young boy in a cafeteria near our Barangay. I remember I saw him after I went the cafeteria. He was so kind and respectful, he said "Sir, palit na ug trapo. Pahangyu-un taka". I was kinda touched, not to imagine he's still young to do for a living. So this young boy captivated my attention, I bought 1 rag and he was so thankful and happy. I so love this adorable kid. :)

The Cleve Taveros of Bukidnon

12:46:00 PM

As what Karl Lagerfeld said, “The secret to model is not being perfect. What one needs is a face that people can identify in a second. You have to be given what’s needed by nature, and what’s needed is to bring somehing new.”

A good dear friend of mine is one of Bukidnon’s pride in modeling and in fashion society. Simply called as Cleve, a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at San Beda College in Manila. In December 2010, she launched her success by pasing the Nursing Licensure Exam. Two years after her licensure exam, she earned her Master of Arts in Nursing at the University of Visayas, which then followed by her interest in epicure at the prestigious Global Culinary and Hospitality Academy. In her hometown Bukidnon, she was one of Juniel Doring’s model as well as the well-known Sophie Paris.

Cleve is probably the ideal woman of every man. Why? Well, tall and tan along with imppecable tastes in fashion and in overall look. What’s the outcome? PERFECTION!
